Europe to Tuesday evening: Calmer central Europe, summer warmth holds in France and Italy
Monday evening brings an easing pattern across much of central Europe. Northern Germany's strong wind subsides, while Switzerland and Austria turn quieter.
Overnight
Sheltered inland areas cool into single digits or the low teens; Mediterranean regions remain milder.
Tuesday
Germany reaches roughly 17 to 22°C. Switzerland and Austria are mainly in the upper teens to low 20s. Météo-France expects 25 to 30°C across large areas, locally 33 to 34°C in Languedoc-Roussillon. Much of Italy remains mild to warm under predominantly anticyclonic conditions. Local cloud and showers are possible around parts of the Alps, but widespread severe weather is not the dominant feature.
